Yet another shot from a great Tuesday in early-June.  I had captured rainbows at Chandler Hovey Park and then drove off as rain approached only to double back and shoot at Parker Lane for a while.  When the clouds moved, I did as well ending up on Foster Street in front of the Eastern Yacht Club.

I started off capturing a shot of the long pier at the Eastern Yacht Club as the sunset light began to fade.  After that, I walked down the pier and to the plank that led down to floats where dinghies are attached.  I didn’t have much time to shoot as the purple highlights in the clouds were beginning to fade.  I quickly came up with this composition including the plank leading to the boats and harbor beyond.

When I returned home and started processing images from the evening’s shoot, I stopped at this image and felt myself transported back to this spot with a sensation of walking the plank to Marblehead Harbor.
