I found myself at Crocker Park for sunset on both July 1st and 2nd with camera in hand in large part to capture the Marblehead Festival of Arts activities.  As luck would have it, both nights featured incredible sunsets – the first with a dramatic purple sky and this one with a picture perfect sunset.

I hadn’t intended on shooting the sunset on this night and hadn’t brought my tripod.  Instead I was planning on shooting the kids enjoying the show being put on as part of the 50th Festival of Arts.  That plan went out the window when I saw the first hints of pink in the sky.  I raced over to a now favorite spot at Crocker Park from which I could shoot towards Abbot Hall with houses and rooftops perfectly organized below and around it.

I ended up taking a few shots of the concert-goers and musicians but will save those for another time.  Have a great weekend!
