On the Fourth of July, I had decided to set up at the Dolphin Yacht Club hoping for a new angle on the annual fireworks show. Before the harbor illumination could begin, nature decided to put on its own show with an incredible pink sunset.
I shot frame after frame as the color in the sky built to the peak you see here. As I did, I noted a bring pink flamingo perched atop a boat waiting for the fireworks to begin. The color and shape of the evening’s colors seemed to mimic those of the bird and came together to create this flamingo sunset over the Neck.
