Today’s image comes from the incredible dawn that took place on October 29 before the storm (literally) blew through town. I had started off with a tight crop of the ocean waves and wet sand reflecting the building colors in the sky. As the dawn reached its peak, it created a pink sky over purple waves washing ashore at Devereux Beach. After capturing this image, I began to zoom out and captured a much wider view as the entire sky took on pink hues (I shared that one as soon as I got home).
I’m curious which you prefer – this tighter shot or the more expansive view. Here it is for comparison:
I love the pink sky over purple waves! I prefer this image.
Thanks Judy
I prefer this image.
They’re both stunning!
just beautiful.
Amazing color! I prefer this image, great way to start my day!
Just gorgeous!!!
Beautiful!
Beautiful!
Simply Gorgeous .
Really love the expansive sky view and the broad shoreline ….. but I think I would prefer the tighter shot if I HAD to make a decision……
I started with this tighter view and couldn’t help but move wider as the sky exploded. I like this one a bit more.
Wednesdays in Marblehead really shows how the sky just opens up and stretches …..very very nice to the eye ……to see the full beauty of a rare sky like that …..so rare !
Breathtakingly beautiful!
I agree with Suzanne Lynch below. The broad sky in the expansive shot is awesome (in the true sense of that word!), but I love the tighter shot because the waves at the shoreline are very dynamic and I love watching the surf always.
Very nice shot! Brings a lot of memories flooding back….
What a beautiful day to wake up to on our granddaughter’s Birthday
I prefer the expansive sky view. So glorious. Your descriptive writing on these posts is almost as great as your photos. Thanks so much for sharing.
Thanks Lori!
The tighter shot is so beautiful Eyal but I suspect whatever photo you take next will be the new favorite! Don’t stop!
