A dramatic image on this Long Exposure Tuesday.  Back in January, I began my exploration of the piers that line the Neck and jut out into the harbor.  With a long exposure, still objects are key and so my eye was looking for appropriate subjects as I wandered down to the beach along the Neck.  I had explored a few compositions with this particular pier but it wasn’t until I stepped back and included its full length that I felt I had the right one to balance the scene.

With the composition set, I simply had to wait…and wait…for the clouds to form and the sun to illuminate them just so.  During this 10 second exposure, the conditions came together perfectly.  It took a fair amount of work to get this image processed to my liking but here is the end result and I hope you find the view as incredible as I did.
