The sun had set and the light kept getting better as I stood on Cove Lane (check out Monday and Tuesday’s posts if you have missed any part of this Chasing the Light series).  As I watched the light, I decided to change lenses and try to isolate a lone sailboat in the harbor with this great light reflecting off the water.

This time, I opened the aperture as far as it went (f/4) so that the sailboat would be in sharp focus with softer focus on the foreground and background.  This helped further isolate the boat.  I also made sure to position it in the strongest part of the frame.  A few quick snaps and I was off to the car and the next stop….Parker Lane
