On Saturday, a series of storms barreled through New England.  As they passed, I noticed that the clouds overhead seemed to fly by and I decided to head out for some long exposure shots.  I drove across the causeway and then stopped at Castle Rock to watch the crashing waves for a while.  I then headed to Chandler Hovey park in hopes of getting the clouds drifting over the lighthouse.

Before I could shoot a long exposure however, I noticed this scene before me and couldn’t pass up the opportunity.  Every few minutes, a break in the clouds would lead to brilliant rays of light coming down right over Abbot Hall and a harbor filled with boats.  Made for quite a dramatic scene.

Come back tomorrow for the long exposure shot…
