On July 1st, I headed to Marblehead Neck on a commissioned shoot to photograph a grand home on Harbor Avenue. I walked the grounds with the home's owners (and their dog) and found a number of great views of the house and surroundings as I explored the property. When I turned the corner and saw this view of Abbot through the trees, I knew I couldn't leave without capturing this image. I've had the opportunity on several occasions over the past few years to capture a particular view of a Marblehead house or boat in Marblehead harbor. These commissioned house or boat portraits have come to me from 'Headers who have reluctantly decided to move out of town or as presents for children who had a favorite memory of growing up in this incredible town.
