I was out over the Fourth of July weekend scouting locations to shoot from and decided to stop at each of the public right-of-ways that dot the Neck. I immediately noticed the beautiful hydrangeas in full bloom at this house on Peabody lane and made a note to return. The next morning I arrived as the sun rose above the trees and produced great dappled light to highlight a few of the beautiful blue flowers. I later found out this was one of the gardens featured in the recent Garden tour of the Neck.
Below is another view – this one with a very shallow depth of field to highlight the hydrangeas and the grassy field leading down to a harbor filled with boats.
Quintessential summer in Marblehead view. Gorgeous photo.
I love your work! Every week, it just keeps getting better. Thank you, Colleen Connor

How lucky are we to be living in this gorgeous town? Your photos are beautiful. Thank you!
This picture is just breathtaking. It almost looks like a painting- particularly the background of sailboats in the water.I live in the very photogenic coast province of Nova Scotia, eastern Canada, and your blog has inspired me to camera in hand with some stunning results of my own. Thanks for the inspiration!
