On Wednesday, December 19th, I noted the clouds had started to gather as the sun set and decided to drive out to Parker Lane in hopes of a decent Winter sunset. I got there just as the sun dipped below the horizon and captured a few different compositions. As I was getting ready to pack up, some light pink color washed over the clouds directly over Abbot Hall. I had all of two minutes of this great light and tried to make the most of it with this zoomed in view.
You might have noticed that in most of my harbor shots, I tend to remove the buoys if they are not tied to a boat. In this image, I actually really liked the feel that the buoys gave…showing that the harbor was empty and waiting. I’ll be posting throughout this week including a Christmas themed shot tomorrow.
