Welcome to the Town of Marblehead (Spring version)

Back to a Spring photo to brighten up the past few dreary days. In mid-April, I noticed that the cherry blossom tree on the corner of Pleasant and Maple streets had reached full bloom. I had photographed the Welcome to the Town of Marblehead sign before highlighting the anchor in the foreground and the flowering bush on the right. Spring Comes to Marblehead

After living in Washington, DC for 4 years, Spring has only truly arrived when the Cherry Blossoms flower and show off their beauty. I enlisted my viewers' help last year to find cherry blossom trees in town and had happened upon this one on Washington Street that quickly became my favorite tree in town. Spring Comes to Marblehead

Having lived in DC for some time, Spring and cherry blossoms will forever go hand-in-hand. It was with that in mind that I sought cherry blossoms throughout Marblehead over the past week. I was fortunate to find the tree above at peak bloom while walking down Washington Street on a foggy day. Below are shots taken under better conditions featuring more cherry blossoms with Abbot Hall and the Lee Mansion as backdrops.
