Last night, I went out in hopes of catching the Full Buck Moon rising.  While the full moon will be better seen tonight, I was only able to try for the shot last night.  The moon rose early and right into a cloud bank so, while I came away with an okay image, it wasn’t a great result.  As I waited for the moon to rise, I noted some great clouds forming behind and all around me.  I decided to head down to Devereux Beach once the moon was buried in the cloud bank and scout out the conditions.

I ended up shooting for just a bit at Devereux before seeing a really nice cloud bank break right where the sun was setting.  Knowing that some great light was coming, I made my way down to Foster Street and walked down to the pier at the Pleon Yacht Club.  The sunset quickly developed into a spectacular show throwing off light in every direction.  This image is from near the end of the light display and is an early favorite.

The line of boats in the foreground are mostly Pleon ribcrafts and it seemed fitting to name this image ‘A Line of Pleons at Sunset’.
