It seems as though we have had some incredibly varied sunsets this Summer and this image taken from a particularly nice one in late July is no exception. I shared an image from near the end of the good light focusing on Abbot Hall previously
[LINK]. The great thing about these Summer sunsets is that they seem to last forever (even long after the sun has dipped below the horizon) and, depending on cloud cover, the colors can be truly spectacular.
I moved all around the pier at the Pleon Yacht Club on this particular evening trying different compositions. This one with Abbot Hall on the right, Marblehead harbor filled to capacity with boats, a beautiful house on the Neck and the purple clouds dividing the scene was an easy favorite to process.
