Ware the Leaves Fall

Despite living only a few blocks away from this spot, it had been a few years since I last captured the view of Ware Lane. A picture perfect canopy of trees erupts into beautiful colors each year and I have made it a habit of checking this spot on my walks with the dog every autumn. So it was on Wednesday when we walked along Humphrey Street and passed Rose Avenue, I looked to my left and spotted this scene. It was cloudy when I first saw the canopy of foliage so I made it a point of heading back [...]

Leaves on Fire at the Old Post Office

Here is yet another view from the very productive foliage hunt that took place on Wednesday, October 17th.  Shortly after leaving the Tree on the Path, I found myself on Pleasant street to check the status of this lone tree.  I had noticed the unusual shape of the tree in my rearview mirror of all things a few weeks previously and liked the location...in front of the Old Post Office.  It turns out that this tree was showing off its great colors as well on this particular morning and I sought to capture them.  Between the color of the leaves [...]

Turning Leaves at Waterside

It seems that Fall is finally coming to town!  Found this tree as I made my way back from a sunrise shoot at Redd's pond (see yesterday's post).  The light was right and the wind died down long enough to get a few shots in.  If anyone has great trees showing their colors in their neighborhood, please contact me. Technical: Canon 50D and EF-S 17-55mm 2.8 lens.  6 Bracket exposure.
