Last night, I had the pleasure of attending the Warwick Theater Foundation’s Auction night to raise money for a new movie theater in town. I had donated a print for the auction and planned to head over around 6. Looked out my window and saw some nice clouds and figured we just might get a nice sunset out of them. I quickly drove down to the corner of Surf Street and Spray Avenue and set up the camera just as the sky seemed to catch on fire. This was the peak of the beautiful sunset.
I mentioned to one of the attendees last night that I had caught this great sunset and she asked if I would be posting it soon…here is the rare Sunday post on Wednesdays in Marblehead.
Another lovely capture! My only comment is the graffiti on those rock walls in the right foreground. What a blight on a perfect landscape.I live right on the Atlantic Ocean and there is a commercial building with a designated wall just for the graffiti artists around the corner from my house. Almost weekly the artists take up their spray cans and cover over each other’s tags.
Surf street is my favorite place to be in a storm. We sat on the wall many times getting soaked. Hurricane Gloria split apart a huge round boulder seen as you enter from Surf Street. I fell off the wall an survived unscathed when I was young and stupid lol.
