Back to the incredible sunset that took place on Wednesday, July 16.  I’ve share two images from that night so far but, between the fog over Marblehead Harbor and the spectacular colors that formed at sunset and for the 45 minutes that followed, I have 10 more images yet to share from this evening.

I previously shared an image including Abbot Hall and one focused on the cranes at the end of the pier from which I was shooting.  This was the view looking out toward Marblehead Light.  At this point, the colors in the sky had shifted from blue to pink (on their way to purple then red).  I composed this photo to include the Eastern Yacht Club launch boat with its bright colors reflecting in the water as well as part of the float which works as a leading line into the scene.  You can make out the fog in the water obscuring the boats in the distance and creating a blur where the water and sky meet at the horizon.

I feel very fortunate to have witnessed such an incredible sunset on this night.
