This week saw the Lynx come to town. The Lynx is a tall ship inspired by one that fought in the war of 1812. She came to Marblehead harbor on a foggy Wednesday afternoon and was greeted by a throng of spectators watching from Fort Sewall as well as wind and rain. She fired off six cannon shots as she made her way to the harbor in response to rifle fire from the Marblehead regiment. This image was taken during one of those shots and puts the tall ship in the context of our iconic lighthouse.
Technical: Canon 50D and EF 70-200 lens at 200mm. Three shot panorama.
