Glover’s Regiment Marching Under the Full Moon

Every Summer, Glover's Regiment has an encampment at Fort Sewall with reenactments of battles between the Loyalists/Red Coats and the Regiment. It so happened that this year's encampment would take place during the Full Buck Moon. I had a few ideas in mind and so I headed out to Fort Sewall on Friday night with my family to watch a piece of Marblehead history and hoped for good conditions. Glover’s Regiment Fires a Salute on Memorial Day

Memorial Day weekend has finally arrived and with it comes the promise of Summer with pools opening around town, boats heading to their moorings in Marblehead Harbor and the days getting longer and warmer. As part of the Memorial Day parade, the Glover's Regiment marches to Memorial park and fires a salute in memory of those whose sacrifices we remember on this day. This image was captured last year as the old muskets fired - in the case of a few rifles, you can see a significant flame erupt as well.

Glover’s Regiment at the Christmas Walk Parade

This weekend marked the Annual Christmas Walk and, as the festivities began, a light snow fall commenced to add to the festive mood. After Santa landed by way of a lobster boat and took photos with the assembled kids, a parade took place led to Glover's Regiment. I happened to have ended up in front of Old Town House with my kids and, as the regiment marched up State Street, I quickly grabbed the camera and found an angle to capture this moment.
