I added a new tool to my camera bag this week and had a great time taking it out for an inaugural shoot. This was a return to Castle Rock on the Marblehead Neck. With the 10-stop neutral density filter, I was able to take this 30 second exposure and turn the ocean waves into a soft mist. It’s a great feeling to produce an image that cannot be seen ‘in the moment’ but can be appreciated for showing a spot in a new light.
Technical: Canon 50D and EF-S 17-55mm lens with 10-stop ND filter. Single exposure.
