From the Air – Abbot Hall

Back to the air for this Thurday 'From the Rooftops' image.  A few weeks ago, I took to the air in a Cessna piloted by Aviv Hod and we flew over town.  You can read the full account here but, suffice it to say, it was a fairly quick trip.  I did manage to get it together for a few shots and, when we made our way over this iconic building, all fear was put aside and I tried for the best composition possible.  Enjoy this aerial view of Abbot hall and, if you live nearby, see if you can [...]

From the Air – Little Harbor

If you saw my post last Tuesday, you'll know the back story to how this photo came to be.  If not, I highly recommend reading that first and then coming back to this image. As we flew over Marblehead harbor, I quickly took some photos looking down over Little Harbor.  It really is amazing to see this area from this angle and I definitely did not appreciate it at the time.  As your eye works its way around, you notice Gerry Island, Fort Sewall, Front Street beach and the houses (especially those on Doak's Lane). From the Rooftops – Flying over the Neck
