Snow in Marblehead – Chandler Hovey Park

Snow week continues on Wednesdays in Marblehead. Seemed like a good opportunity to bring some of these snow themed images to light as we have yet to experience our first real storm of the Winter season. Snow in Marblehead – Little Harbor

I mentioned in yesterday's post the the seasonably cold temperatures had started to put me in the mindset of snow and, having not had any storms to shoot yet, left me to explore the archive of to-be-posted images. Snow in Marblehead – The Three Icons

So far, November has been cold (bitterly so at times) but only a few flakes have hit the ground. A Blizzard Comes to Washington Street

As I sit down to write this post on June 24th, I find myself at the end of an oppressively hot day with another on the horizon. With that as background, I decided to dive into the archive and bring out the first 'cold' image of the Summer. The Snow Trap at Tedesco Country Club

Is it safe to post photos of snow yet? I know I'm tired of seeing the white stuff but have to admit it can make for some incredible photo opportunities. Snow Capped Houses and Abbot Hall

Back to the Blizzard of 2013 for this image of Abbot Hall taken from Crocker Park. I love this view of Abbot Hall and have shot from this spot on a number of occasions and in various conditions. Old Town House After the Blizzard

Though snow was due to fall in Marblehead this weekend, I was away at a conference and thus could not photography the aftermath (or help shovel out our driveway). Blowing Snow and the Boston Skyline

What an incredible weekend! The Blizzard of 2013 rolled through and dumped snow continuously from Friday afternoon through most of Saturday. I had decided to try my hand at a timelapse and set up my camera looking out our window at the street. Using an intervalometer set to shoot at 5 minute intervals, I ended up with 228 images that combined to a 10 second synopsis of the storm. Sunset After the Blizzard

If there's one thing you can count on with a good storm, it's that a solid sunset/sunrise will usually follow.
