Morning Comes to Crocker Park

I've shared a few images from this dawn photoshoot that took place in the first week of August. As I mentioned, the light changed so dramatically in the hour before sunrise (the so-called blue hour) that I ended up with 9 favorites from the session. Dawn of a New Year of Wednesdays in Marblehead

Yesterday, I shared a frenetic slideshow showcasing every one of the 726 images shared in the first three years of Wednesdays in Marblehead. Dawn Breaks Over Marblehead Harbor

Back to the sunrise of August 3rd to start this week off right. Heading Out to Fish in Marblehead

An Incredible Dawn from Crocker Park

Four Minute Sunrise over Marblehead Harbor

Cliff Street Houses and Abbot Hall at Sunrise

Sunrise Over the Houses of Little Harbor

After photographing dawn from Hammond Park last Wednesday, I decided to drive out to Doaks Lane and shoot Gerry Island as well as the houses that line Little Harbor. If you have followed this site for a while, you will likely recognize this composition. I have shared some long exposures taken at sunset from this vantage point but never thought to photograph at sunrise. Purple Dawn Over an Empty Harbor

Last week, I shared images of turquoise waters all taken on the prior Wednesday in Marblehead. I thought I would start this week in a similar way with this image taken last Wednesday at dawn.
