On Wednesday January 30th, a strong wind and some great clouds developed in the afternoon and I decided to head out to Chandler Hovey park for some long exposure images. Blowing Snow and the Boston Skyline

What an incredible weekend! The Blizzard of 2013 rolled through and dumped snow continuously from Friday afternoon through most of Saturday. I had decided to try my hand at a timelapse and set up my camera looking out our window at the street. Using an intervalometer set to shoot at 5 minute intervals, I ended up with 228 images that combined to a 10 second synopsis of the storm. If there's one thing you can count on with a good storm, it's that a solid sunset/sunrise will usually follow. Blizzard of 2013

With the blizzard predicted to dump 2 feet of snow, I thought it might be cool to watch the snow fall as a time lapse. I set up my camera on a tripod against a window looking out at the street at noon on Friday. Using an intervalometer, I had the camera take a photo every 5 minutes and stopped it at 7am. After some quick edits, I combined the 228 images into this 10 second time lapse. Enjoy! Now to dig out so I can get some photos around town...

On Tuesday, a fan of my site asked if I ever photographed wildlife - especially birds.
