Dawn Breaks Over Marblehead Harbor

Back to the sunrise of August 3rd to start this week off right. As I mentioned previously, I woke at 4:45am on this particular Saturday and decided to take advantage of that by heading down to the Crocker Park area to shoot the dawn as it broke over Marblehead Harbor. The Sun, Marblehead, and the American Flag

On Tuesday, July 30th, we headed out on the Hannah Glover to Children's Island where my son was spending two weeks at camp. Heading Out to Fish in Marblehead

There seem to be two types of people that are fortunate to regularly witness the beauty of a Marblehead dawn and sunrise - photographers and fishermen. J105s, Abbot Hall and a Great Summer Sunset

An Incredible Dawn from Crocker Park

On Saturday, August 3rd, I woke at 4:45am for no good reason. My first instinct was to grab the iPhone and figure out cloud cover, sunrise time and location before even considering going back to bed. Good Speed and the Corinthian Yacht Club

Here is another image from the boat tour around Marblehead that took place on July 16th. By now we had made our way into Marblehead harbor and the light was really picking up. Sunset View from the Water – Marblehead Lighthouse and Harbor

Summer Rainbow over Marblehead Harbor

On Monday, July 29th, I drove home from work in the sunniest rainstorm I can remember. The whole way (all 3 miles of it), I wondered if 5:30pm was too early for a proper rainbow to form. A Line of Pleons at Sunset

Last night, I went out in hopes of catching the Full Buck Moon rising. While the full moon will be better seen tonight, I was only able to try for the shot last night. The moon rose early and right into a cloud bank so, while I came away with an okay image, it wasn't a great result. Marblehead Harbor in the Blue Hour

On June 12th, I woke early and decided to head down to Hammond Park for sunrise. I arrived near the end of the blue hour and quickly went about capturing images of Marblehead Harbor filled with boats and the lighthouse with its green light on. I tried a number of compositions and varied shutter speeds but this image ended up as my favorite.
