Foggy Morning in Marblehead Day 1 – Marblehead Harbor at Dawn

On the night of Tuesday, September 10th we were on the cusp of a 90 degree day and so I turned to my weather apps to try to predict the next morning's sunrise conditions. I was disheartened to see clear skies in the forecast and turned to twitter to see if Matt Noyes might help me out. Huey and Louie Visit the Eastern Yacht Club

Soft Light Over Marblehead Harbor

I mentioned on Monday's post that immediately after taking the shot of Devereux Beach on a foggy evening, I captured two soft sunset images - this is one of them. Of Sailboats, Landmarks and Marblehead Harbor seen from Children’s Island

At the end of July, we went out to Children's Island where my son was spending two weeks at camp. I shared an image taken from aboard the Hannah Glover previously but had kept this one taken from the island. Quiet Morning at Crocker Park Float

Back to Crocker Park and that great dawn of August 3rd. I shared two other images from Crocker Park taken this morning. This one came about after both of those when I walked down the steps to the bridge connecting the Crocker Park float in Marblehead harbor to the stairs and mainland. The waters were calm and the light great making for a very serene morning scene. Only a few more weeks to enjoy the float and the waters in town.

Purple Summer Sunset over Marblehead Harbor

It seems as though we have had some incredibly varied sunsets this Summer and this image taken from a particularly nice one in late July is no exception. Summer Sunset from Corinthian Lane

I missed a great Summer sunset on Thursday and decided to make up for it with a photoshoot on Friday. I headed out at 7pm and made my way to Devereux Beach to scout out the skies. Once in a Blue Moon

I headed out last night in hopes of capturing a nice full moon rising over Marblehead harbor. I had tried to decide where to shoot from and ended up at Lovis Cove with a borrowed super telephoto lens on a cloudless night. Morning Comes to Crocker Park

I've shared a few images from this dawn photoshoot that took place in the first week of August. As I mentioned, the light changed so dramatically in the hour before sunrise (the so-called blue hour) that I ended up with 9 favorites from the session. Dawn of a New Year of Wednesdays in Marblehead

Yesterday, I shared a frenetic slideshow showcasing every one of the 726 images shared in the first three years of Wednesdays in Marblehead.
