The Sun Sets Over Marblehead Harbor

Last week, I shared a recent favorite image of the sunset as seen from Chandler Hovey Park [LINK]. When I first arrived at the park, I actually ran past the lighthouse and to the edge of the land drawn by the incredible colors you see here. Marblehead Harbor Under a Dramatic Sky at Sunset

Marblehead Harbor Starting to Fill with Boats

The Full Pink Moon Rises Over the Harbor

On April 25th, the Pink Moon was due to rise and I made plans to try to capture it. I use a program called TPE (the photographer's ephemeris) to plan out the location of moon rise, moon set, sunrise and sunsets. The Sun Rises over Marblehead Harbor and the Lighthouse

When I go out for a shoot, I typically will return with a number of images that I can't wait to share. Dawn of a New Year in Marblehead

2012 began with a sunrise shoot from the roof of the Old North Church. It was therefore with a sense of symmetry and a feeling of starting a new tradition, that I climbed the steps of St Michaels Church to shoot sunrise on January 1st, 2013. Summer Sunset over Marblehead Harbor

I miss Summer sunsets. There is something about the light that time of year that causes near explosions of color to take over the sky. This is an image from June 2011 that has been waiting in the queue and was recently reprocessed to bring out more of the details in the boats and Abbot Hall in the distance. The colors on this night just kept building the the point at which both the sky and water seemed to be on fire with deep oranges. Summer Sunset at Chandler Hovey Park

Is it too early for a 'warm' picture? It's been freezing lately and this morning is no exception. As I watched the election results roll in last night, I combed through my photo archive (currently with 268 images waiting to post) and settled on this shot taken on August 2nd.
