Sea Smoke in the Harbor – Corinthian and Marblehead Light

Back to the incredible display of sea smoke in Marblehead Harbor that took place on January 8, 2015. Cotton Candy Sky over Marblehead Harbor

Tom Moore Rock Engulfed in Sea Smoke

Hope no one is tired of the beauty of sea smoke captured on a truly arctic morning earlier this month. I had made it back to Castle Rock just before the sun rose and captured this image of Tom Moore Rock engulfed in sea smoke. Sun Star and Sea Smoke at Castle Rock

Yesterday morning's sea smoke was responsible for one of the most frenetic and harried photo shoots I have ever had. I mentioned in yesterday's post that I had crossed the causeway a little after 6:30 and noted sea smoke coming off the Atlantic ocean as well as within Marblehead Harbor. Lobster Boat encircled by Sea Smoke

There's only one good thing about the arctic conditions that periodically descend upon Marblehead - Sea Smoke. I had first witnessed the phenomenon in January 2012 when the temperature dropped to the single digits with a wind chill bringing it to well below zero. Sunlight through the Windshield at Little Harbor

This image comes from a dawn photo shoot in early October. I had decided to shoot in the area around Little Harbor on this particular morning as I had noticed a few trees starting to show their Fall colors. Moon Reflecting On Frozen Redd’s Pond

It's become a tradition for me to share my annual New Year's Day slideshow and this year's 10-minute show received an incredible welcome. Another part of the day's tradition is going out to shoot.
