Reflections of Fall Colors in Marblehead

Fall seems to be coming early this year with trees turning easily two weeks sooner than they did last year. I had started to notice the maples around town showing off their bright red colors and decided to drive around town on Saturday to see if I could find any to photograph. Rays of Light over Goldthwait Beach

Continuing with the great light featured this week, this is a shot from the afternoon of Sept 13th. Storms seem to be missing us to the north and south on this particular day and I headed out in hopes of capturing the storms from a distance. Seagull at Dawn in Marblehead Harbor

I spent all of last week sharing images of a great dawn over Marblehead Harbor during which the fog gradually thickened as the sun rose. Once the sun rose high enough in the sky, I sought out compositions to take advantage of the great diffused red light that bathed the harbor and boats. This was one such scene. Riverhead Beach and the Causeway

I haven't shared a black and white image in quite some time and found this one waiting in the queue so thought it was a perfect opportunity to bring it out. Heading Down to Gas House Beach

The morning of June 12th ended up being a very busy one and would result in a number of different images being shared on this site. Foggy Morning in Marblehead Day 5 – Fort Beach and Fort Sewall

An hour and a half after starting this photo shoot on a foggy morning, I finally tore myself away from Marblehead Harbor and drove off in search of other vantage points. The Harvest Moon rises over Marblehead Harbor

The Harvest Moon was due to rise tonight and I had been racking my head trying to decide on a new vantage point from which to capture the year's best full moon. Foggy Morning in Marblehead Day 3 – Red Sun Rising

For those who might have missed the start of this week's posts, I mentioned going out on the morning of Wednesday, September 11th on what ended up being a 90 degree day.
